Restrictive immigration laws passed in the early 1920s greatly curtailed immigration to the United States, often with dire consequences for those fleeing violence and turmoil in their home countries in the ensuing decades. This is a panel talk featuring Dr. Samuel Finesurrey (Guttman Community College, CUNY) in conversation with contemporary first and second-generation Americans discussing immigration trends over the past century.
