Databases are large collections of online information. The City Tech library provides access to databases that have information on a variety of topics; some databases are very general and cover a range of disciplines, some will focus on a specific topic.
You'll find many kinds of information in databases: scholarly articles, news, books, professional literature, multimedia and more. Most of the databases we use at CUNY require users to log in before accessing content, you can do this using your activated City Tech library card.
To locate information in a database, enter information (keywords) into a search-field. You'll be presented with a list of corresponding results. Learning to use databases effectively can take some practice, so consult a librarian if you're not finding what you need.
