Fall 2021 E-Reserves Pilot

E-Reserves Pilot Program

E-Reserves Pilot Program
This fall, the City Tech library will offer e-reserves on a trial basisOne of the chief aims of this pilot program is to assess the e-reserves needs of our faculty and the library's ability to meet them.
Print reserves are still unavailable at this time. We will do our best to provide online versions of your reading materials. Please bear in mind that some textbooks are simply unavailable to libraries as e-books and that copyright prohibits us from making scans of entire textbooks available, we can only make a selection of the textbook available per Fair Use guidelines.
For more detail on these limitations, please reach out to your library subject specialist or view CUNY's Fair Use and Copyright Guide
Faculty should complete the Course Reserve Request Form to request an item be placed on reserve.
  • The priority deadline is: August 25th, include as much information as possible when placing the request. Requests submitted after the deadline will be processed on a first-come, first served basis.
  • All items will be hosted on our e-Reserves platform. Readings will be password protected, faculty must share the password with their students. Library personnel will not be permitted to do so.
  • The library only handles book reserves at this time; articles and other items can be organized in Blackboard or by other CUNY tools for sharing with classes.
