Participants will curate an OER over the spring or fall term to replace a textbook as the only required material in a course they will teach the following semester. *Dept. Chair approval required.
*Do not complete the application without prior approval from your Chair to:
1) Develop an OER for the course you propose, and
2) Pilot the OER in at least 1 section of the course in the coming semester
Additional Fellowship requirements
--Active participation in faculty development seminars
--Submit the finished OER, housed on an OpenLab site
--Teach with the OER in at least 1 section of the course
--Present in a joint faculty panel to report on classroom adoption
--Submit a brief written assessment of the experience
To participate in the program, you must be full-time instructional faculty at City Tech.
Payment Faculty receive a stipend for 23 hours at the 60% non-teaching adjunct faculty rate for their participation in recognition of the time required to select and curate OERs. The stipend is distributed upon completion of the OER.
