OER Fellowship Applications

Fellowship Details

Fellowship deliverable

Participants will curate an OER over Spring/Summer 2017 to replace a textbook as the only required material in a course they will teach the following fall. *Dept. Chair approval required.

 

 

*Do not complete the application without prior approval from your Chair to:

1) Develop an OER for the course you propose, and

2) Pilot the OER in at least 1 section of the course in Fall 2017

 

Additional Fellowship requirements

--Active participation in faculty development seminars (Spring 2017)

--Submit the finished OER, housed on an OpenLab site (June 2017)

--Teach with the OER in at least 1 section of the course (fall 2017)

--Present in a joint faculty panel to report on classroom adoption (mid fall 2017)

--Submit a brief written assessment of the experience (January 2018)

 

Eligibility 

To participate in the program, you must be full-time instructional faculty at City Tech.

 

Payment
Faculty receive a stipend for 23 hours at the 60% non-teaching adjunct faculty rate for their participation in recognition of the time required to select and curate OERs. The stipend is distributed upon completion of the OER.

Pre Application Checklist:

✪ I have read and understand the requirements and deliverables of the OER Fellowship

✪ I have reviewed my proposal with my Department Chair, and received their
approval to 1) develop an OER in X course, and 2) pilot the OER in at least 1
section of that course in Fall 2017

Application reviews will conclude in December and applicants will be notified of decisions by the end of the fall semester.
